Pour Decisions privacy policy
Effective 14 October 2026
In short: Pour Decisions needs no account, and your progress stays on your phone. Your phone’s motion sensors are read on the device only, to pour and shake drinks. The only data that leaves the device goes to Google AdMob, which serves the game’s ads.
Who we are
Pour Decisions is a single-player bartending game made by Aryan Rao, an individual developer based in India. It is a separate product from Rally, the sports app; the two share a developer and a contact address, and nothing else. For anything in this policy, write to info@playrally.app.
Who it’s for
Pour Decisions is for adults aged 18 and over. It is about working in a bar, features alcohol and light romance, and asks your age before you play. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
What stays on your device
The game saves the following in its own storage on your phone, so you can pick up where you left off:
- the nights you have played, your stars, tips, gems and upgrades
- the drinks you have learned, and the regulars you have met
- your conversations with the characters, their texts, and the photos in their galleries
- which tips and tutorials you have already seen
- your settings: sound, music, haptics, motion or touch controls, and notifications
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. We have no server for Pour Decisions and no copy of your progress. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your phone’s settings, deletes all of it. Settings → Start over in the game erases it too.
Motion sensors
If you turn on motion controls, the game reads your phone’s accelerometer and gyroscope while you play, to measure how far you tilt it (to pour) and how hard you shake it (to shake a cocktail). These readings are used instantly on the device and then discarded. They are never stored, never sent anywhere, and never used for anything else. You can switch to touch controls at any time in Settings.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the game lets you know when one of the characters texts you between shifts. These notifications are scheduled on your phone itself: no push service is involved and no notification token is collected. Turn them off in the game’s Settings, or in your phone’s notification settings.
Advertising
Pour Decisions is free and is paid for by ads, provided by Google AdMob. Some ads are ones you choose to watch, in exchange for tips, gems or a booster. The game may also show an occasional ad between nights. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, AdMob’s software in the app may collect:
| Data | Examples |
|---|---|
| Device identifiers | the advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) |
| Approximate location | derived from your IP address; never precise GPS location |
| App and ad interactions | which ads were shown, watched or tapped |
| Diagnostics | crash and performance data from the ad software |
This data is collected and processed by Google under its own policies, described at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We do not receive it in a form that identifies you, and we never sell personal data. Ads in the game are limited to content suitable for teenagers and up.
- Consent. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the game asks before personalised ads are shown, using Google’s consent form. You can change your answer later from Settings → Privacy choices.
- Tracking. The game asks for permission before using the IDFA. If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalised using it.
- Reporting an ad. If you see an ad that seems inappropriate, use Settings → Report an ad, or write to us.
What we do not do
- No account, sign-in, contacts, camera, microphone or precise location.
- No analytics service of our own.
- No purchases: everything in the game is earned by playing or by watching optional ads.
- No chat with other people. The characters are fictional and their messages are written into the game.
Alcohol
Pour Decisions is a game about bartending. It does not sell alcohol or encourage drinking, and it rewards serving responsibly. If you choose to drink, please drink responsibly and never drive.
Your choices and rights
Because your game data never leaves your phone, you control it directly: erase it in Settings, or delete everything by uninstalling the app. For data held by Google for advertising, use the controls above or Google’s own tools at My Ad Center. You can also write to us at any time to ask what data the game handles, and we will answer.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
